About Star Wars DS (PrBOOM)
Star Wars DS is a Total Conversion and replacement IWAD for any hardware or OS that has a port of PrBOOM.

'But you can't expect Jedi to stand by while ordinary people are hurt and killed-" said Master Windu.
"Exactly", said Depa Billaba,"That is why we cannot win: to win this war, we must no longer be Jedi.Like dropping a bomb into the arena on Geonosis: we can save the Republic, Mace. We can. But the cost will be our principles. In the end, isn't that what Jedi are for? We sacrifice everything for the Republic: our families, our homeworlds, our wealth, even our lives. Now the Republic needs us to sacrifice our consciences as well. Can we refuse? Are Jedi traditions more important than the lives of billions?"

About:

I was excited when I saw that DOOM was ported to the Nintendo DS, my excitement only grew when I discovered it was based upon an older code base of PrBOOM which is full of features that push DOOM way beyond it's original capabilities!

Immediatly I was inspired to take advantage of PrBOOM's extra features and make use of all those Star Wars sprites, sounds, and textures that I'd been creating and collecting during my past few years of DOOM editing.
Since I had switched my Star Wars Legacy project to GzDOOM and decided to go Hi-Res with it, my old 8-bit collection was rendered useless; well until now.

Of course some of my old work was kind of crude, so I went back and cleaned up many of the old sprites. I've also created a few new sprites including the Mach1 Droid from Jedi Knight: Jedi Outcast.

The ultimate goal of this project is to create a stand alone DOOM 2 replacement IWAD with:

To create a fresh set of maps to replace those included with DOOM 2.
To replace every sound in DOOM with sound effects from Star Wars including ambient effects.
To alter every character, item, sound, and texture to fit in with the theme of the Star Wars Universe.
To alter (via Deh and Bex) every character, weapon and enemy /friend behavior.
To create enviorments that do not reduce frame rates or locks up the DS.

The only down side I've experienced with my project thus far is that is has locked up the DS during load time after a death, while trying to save the game, or even sometimes at random.
It also seems that large rooms reduce the frame rate, and having enemies in those large rooms drop it even further.
When the player gets too close to a translucent wall you will also reduce the frame rate, though this can be avoided by putting a little distance between the player and the translucent line.
You can not save on top of previous game saves, though I believe this is a fault in the DS port of DOOM and not so much on my end.
Sound volume is not as high as it should be sometimes, but I think I may have that resolved soon.
There are more bugs to be found I'm sure, but these are the only major one's I've found thus far.
